Add the CanDo "app" to your phone
You can easily create a website shortcut that looks like an app. And it doesn’t matter what kind of phone you have. Even works on an iPad!
iPhone
Step 1: Using Safari, navigate to www.nvcando.org.
Step 2: Tap the center Share icon (the box with an upward arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Select the option labeled Add to Home Screen.
Step 4: Edit the name for your icon, if preferred (we recommend NV CanDo). This is the text that will appear under your shortcut’s icon on the home screen. Then click Add at the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 5: Tap Add to close the Add to Home Screen window.
To find your shortcut, close Safari and swipe over to the last page of your Home screen. The shortcut icon is usually the same as the icon you see beside the website’s URL.
Android
Step 1: Use Chrome to navigate to www.nvcando.org.
Step 2: Tap the three-dot menu at the top-right corner of Chrome.
Step 3: Tap Add to Home Screen. A pop-up window will appear.
Step 4: Edit the shortcut title, if preferred. This is the text that will appear under your shortcut’s icon on the home screen (we recommend NV CanDo).
Step 5: Tap Add and the shortcut will now be on your home screen.
Windows phone
Step 1: Navigate to www.nvcando.org.
Step 2: Add it to your home screen by clicking on the menu button on your smartphone and select Add to Home Screen.
Step 3: Edit the shortcut title, if preferred. This is the text that will appear under your shortcut’s icon on the home screen (we recommend NV CanDo).
Step 4: Tap Add and the shortcut will now be on your home screen.
