Our mission is to promote respect, acceptance, and kindness for everyone in our community.
What We Do
We support Napa Valley being a place where everyone feels included, safe, and accepted as full members of the community, and we seek to work with other groups that share that goal.

We act in positive ways to remind our community that Napa County welcomes everyone, excludes no one, and has no tolerance for hate speech in any form. We take action that counteracts and helps neutralize hateful messages with positive messaging.
​
As we move from good ideas and good intentions to effective actions in our community, we will remain open and flexible to the ideas and input of our members and Napa County residents.
​
Pro-Inclusion Napa, like Napa Valley CanDo, does not identify with any political party or religion.

Inspiring Inclusion
This monthly column in the CanDo Connection, focuses on diversity, its significance, and the way it is celebrated and supported locally. Kelly Renda, one of PIN’s founding members, is the main contributor for Inspiring Inclusion, sharing ways that Napa inspires inclusion to assure that every person in our community feels included, needed, and valued.

Chair
Joanne Sutro’s nonprofit experience spans 30 years of senior leadership positions in arts, media, and healthcare organizations. A Napa resident since 2000, she has served on the board of the Mt. Veeder Fire Safe Council for 15 years and volunteers for several other community organizations since retiring in 2019 as Collabria Care’s Director of Development & Communications.

Vice-Chair
Laura Keller, BS, BSN, PHN, NP, retired after 32 years at Napa County Public Health as Director of Public Health Nursing and Maternal, Child, Adolescent Health Director. She served as a commissioner on the Napa County First Five Commission for 16 years, was a Touchpoints trainer for 21 years, and has been the treasurer of the Napa Valley Breastfeeding Coalition for the last 9 years.

Secretary
Stefanie LaMarca, MA in Education, PPS Credential, has worked for the Napa Valley Unified School District for the past 23 years, as a counselor at Napa High School, Harvest Middle School, and now at Valley Oak High School. She has volunteered for the Napa Food Bank, as a Club Advisory for Interact (Napa Sunrise Rotary), WE Schools, Crush MS, the Napa Landmarks Scholarship Committee, and the Sierra Service Project. She also supported the Napa High School Band Boosters as a Band parent, and as a board member.

Treasurer
James Dugan is a businessman and entrepreneur who founded and led a successful licensed painting contracting firm in San Francisco for 35 years, before moving to Napa in 2012. His volunteer experience ranges from helping to restore neighborhoods in Spanish Harlem with Monsignor Robert Fox after the 1968 Harlem Riots to serving as treasurer for two HOA’s in SF, to serving on the board of SIR’s chapter #149 in Napa.

Member at Large
Kathy Wagenknecht was a Napa County Airport Analyst before retiring in 2021, after 22 years with the County. Her community service includes Big Brothers Big Sisters, where she was named Napa Big Sister of the Year, and serving as secretary of the nonprofit Friends of Napa County Airport, Inc. She currently volunteers as a literacy tutor for Napa County Library.
